Longarm Quilter Ribbon Awards – Carolina Mountain Longarm Association has collaborated with the Asheville Quilt Guild to support and highlight the artistry of the quilter, an essential partner in the creative process. As you know, the one person or group who makes and owns a quilt may or may not be the same person who quilts it. CMLA is pleased to support the work of exceptional long arm quilters by awarding three ribbons at the Asheville Quilt Show. Teal Rosette ribbons were awarded to the long arm quilters for Excellence in Long Arm Quilting in the categories of Long Arm Quilted Hand Guided, Long Arm Quilted Computerized, Long Arm Quilted Combined Hand Guided and Computerized techniques. Many thanks to the members of the Asheville Quilt Guild who have paved the way for this process by modifying the entrance forms to identify long arm quilting for other categories, and for participating in making ribbons available.
