CMLA Longarm Quilter Award Winners – WNC Quilters Guild, 2026 and past years

Longarm Quilter Ribbon Awards – Carolina Mountain Longarm Association has collaborated with the WNC Quilt Guild to support and highlight the artistry of the quilter, an essential partner in the creative process.  As you know, the one person or group who makes and owns a quilt may or may not be the same person who quilts it. CMLA is pleased to support the work of exceptional longarm quilters by awarding three ribbons at the Garden of Quilts Show. Ribbons were awarded to the longarm quilters for Excellence in Longarm Quilting in the categories of Longarm Quilted Hand Guided, Longarm Quilted Computerized, Longarm Quilted Combined Hand Guided and Computerized techniques. Many thanks to the members of the WNC Quilt Guild who have been in assistance for this process to identify long arm quilting for other categories, and for participating in making ribbons available.

Best Longarm Quilting (Computerized) was awarded to Mona Houle, quilt made by Janet Mott.

Due to judges decision, only two ribbons were awarded this year. There were no recipients for the Hand Guided Longarm Award.
